This is a small grocery type store catering to a Jewish clientele though many different people patronize this establishment.
They carry all sorts of takeout appetizers like lox, chopped liver, coleslaw, numerous salads, refrigerated soups, fish, meats, canned goods, fruits, vegetables, rye beads, bagels, jars of fish, pickles, eggs, etc.
By now, you must get the picture.
Prices are reasonable.
There are very few stores that carry foods such as these in South Florida and I will go out of my way to travel here from where I reside.
The aisles are large enough to maneuver through with a shopping cart. The store is brightly lit and very clean.
I just wish the staff would crack a smile and offer a thank you. The funny part of this place is that as I previously mentioned it caters to a mainly Jewish clientele but the store is run by Hindus. I thought this was kind of funny. Usually stores of this type are run by Jewish owners.
But whatever, I enjoy shopping here.
Kings Point condominium is located next door and most of their business comes from people who live there.
They are located in a small strip center right off Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach. -

I live within a walkable distance and it is very convenient for me to run into this store. Every worker/employee is rude as if they would rather be somewhere else. They have some attitude problem. I won't be going there anymore.

In my professional life I worked with, and advocated for the elderly.
Seeing elderly people treated with disrespect literally sets my hair on fire.
Today I stopped in at Famous Market Deli to buy a few things.
I took my number and stood in line at the Deli counter. The folks being served at the counter were
elderly.
A dear little lady asked for sliced cheddar cheese. The server asked her a question in a very broad Indian accent. Clearly the lady did not understand him, and after he had repeated himself twice I stepped forward and asked him whether I could help. Well! The idiot behind the counter was highly insulted and told me that he "speaks English". He then turns to his associate behind the counter and says "If I offer her a 30% discount she'll buy any cheese". It was my turn to be annoyed.
I turned to him and told him that while he may speak English, he has a very thick accent which is difficult for folks that are hard of hearing to understand. Again his head nearly exploded and he summarily dismissed me with a wave of his hand.
I was appalled and turned around to look at who was standing at the counter; all older folks who were getting their weekend food.
I looked at who was serving them. Angry, irritated people who have no respect for their customers.
I took my ticket, put it down on top of the counter in and the Queens Best English, I told the man behind the counter what he could do with himself. He deserved nothing less!
Please don't allow the elderly to be disrespected. Kindness and civility seems to be elusive now days.
Most importantly, you as a consumer have a very powerful voice. The only way to teach these disgraceful people is by not patronizing their business. I know I will NEVER shop there again. -

OM "expletive" What a display of hatred and contempt. My cousin phoned Famous Friday at 10:30am. Younger patrons DO LOOK online at websites. She inquired about the site's posted flyer dated 3/21/2018 through 3/27/2018 . Asking if iis still in effect, as in ongoing. The man immediately hung up. I grabbed her phone to call back-no one picked up. I used my New Jersey number asked the same question and was hung up on before I was able to ask if there was a new weekly ad online.
Cuz and I were instructed to get items there so we drove to Atlantic ave
PEOPLE THAT SHOP HERE ARE ELDERLY. Most seniors do not use the web true. Age and demographics will shift. OM: I witnessed deplorable actions(jeers smirks) from men at counter. Degrading attitudes projected like staring at the seniors whom were unable to speak loud or quick enough.
I would like to stand outside and offer every patron financial compensation to PLEASE not patronize these haters. Calling them HATERS should say it all. READ IN TO IT PLEASE. AS I Am not phat with cash- i ask all of you to not allow their abusive actions to reap profit.
Shame on anyone from South Florida that still patrons these wilder beasts.
I overheard one employee remark, if it was up to him,.drive them all back into the sea. I think I got the jist. I plan on sending this to every publication and organization able to investigate and distribute my comments -

I stop in at the Famous Market now and then when I'm passing by to get some items that I can't get in the supermarket. Their prices are decent and most of the food I've purchased is good. But the staff is unfriendly and not very helpful. They do not make you feel welcome, and certainly don't act like they appreciate your business.
